Painting NYC Pink at the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit

The DPAA Video Everywhere Summit brings together hundreds of the industry’s most influential thought leaders from the global digital out of home (DOOH) community.

The Hivestack team was present at the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit 2021 where we talked about the bright future of the DOOH industry as one of the key speakers and sponsors of the event.

Last week, after being virtual for almost 2 years, the global “Digital Out of Home” community gathered in person for the highly acclaimed DPAA Video Everywhere Summit in New York City. 

One of the most popular and vastly attended industry events, the DPAA Video Everywhere Summit brings together hundreds of the industry’s most influential thought leaders from the global digital out of home (DOOH) community, including marketers, ad tech partners, media owners and advertising agencies. We were very excited to be a part of this event as a keynote presenter, contributing to the valuable conversations around resilience, reinvention and revitalization, as our industry works towards recovering from the impacts of the pandemic.   

Hivestack’s Founder and CEO, Andreas Soupliotis addressed the room with a keynote presentation focused on programmatic DOOH in North Asia; highlighting the opportunities, trends and growth trajectory across the region. He was joined by the President of Hivestack Japan - Ichiro T. Jinnai, who shared key insights about the Japanese OOH market (the third largest global market), along with a case study with Japanese streaming platform Paravi, facilitated through our exclusive partnership with LIVE BOARD.

Andreas was then joined by Troy Yang, Managing Director, North Asia, in collaboration with Helen Cheung, Business Director of Publicis Media in Hong Kong. Troy and Helen discussed the very first programmatic DOOH campaign in Hong Kong for Disneyland Hong Kong leveraging custom audience capabilities using our key data partner’s (Vpon) location data and the Hivestack DSP.  

Aileen Ku, General Manager, China, presented our third case study on one of the first programmatic campaigns we ran in China featuring the popular telecommunication brand, China Unicom. Hivestack’s objective was to create a strong presence for China Unicom by leveraging our partnership with Be-Tiger, a leading taxi back window advertising media provider in Shanghai. Ultimately, China Unicom was presented with an opportunity to reach a customized targeted audience in real-time and with precision in DOOH for the first time. 

Hoon Lee, VP Demand & Supply, Korea, co-presented our final case study segment with Ryan Kim, General Manager of The Trade Desk, Korea. Together, they presented an overview of the key strategic partnership between TTD and the Hivestack SSP. Ryan shared key insights on how TTD values the integration with Hivestack SSP and the opportunities on hand as we now launch our full suite of solutions in Korea.
